My Little Feathered friend Called Cloe

Ahaa! Finally I can post a pic up! This is the purpose of this new blog u see.. blogspot is much more user-friendly for pic-posting than livejournal. See this pic of me here? I have a little friend with me.. and he's sitting right on my shoulder! That's right, it's a parrot! And he's called Cloe!

I saw him while crossing the street to my block. It was probably his chirping that caught my attention. Upon taking a closer look at wad was happening I realised that he was trying to escape from three black crows who had their sharp eyes fixed on him. One was chasing poor Cloe around while the other two were perched on lamp-post watchin the show. It seems like Cloe had his wings clipped and thus since he can't really fly, he could only hop around trying to get away from his bully. Crows are really bullies you know.. this is not the first time I've witness them using their size and power of numbers to intimidate other smaller birds.

Well anyway, I could find it in me to leave Cloe there to fend for himself so I took him home. It seems like Cloe is not afraid of humans cos he hoped onto my out-stretched hand when I reached for him. Think he must have been glad to get away from being the center of much unwanted attention.

My mum found some feathers outside my door when she came home. It came from Cloe obviously. Those darn crows must have taken some pecks at him. Evil..

Lets not talk about crows anymore. I found a delightful trait in Cloe! He seems to have been trained to climb unto pple's shoulders(look at the photo). He climbed up on his own! I didn't even need to bait him with food.. haha. And he loves to snuggle in my hair. Think it's because it resembles a nest to him? O.o Or maybe it's just warm there la..

Sadly, I've got to part with him. I don't know anything about taking care of birds.. and I think my nose is a bit allegic to feathers. So he has to go. My dad brought him to my grandpa's house. He should be well taken care of there. Bird-keeping is one of my grandpa's fav past times. I hope he's happy.. my grandpa certainly is! Lol.. you'll be miss my little buddy..
