New Year Resolutions

I know its a bit late for new year resolutions.. haha.. but i shall pen them down anyway. Dun expect a long list though.. cos I believe resolutions are not made only to be broken. Being focused is the key..

1) Have more fufilling friendships
2) Overcome my shyness
3) Be more vocal and assertive

Simple enough? Easier said than done.. these are habits that can't be changed overnight.

The last and final one is from God. This came from God on the last day of 2006.. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. [Joshua 24:15] 2007 is a year of promise of salvation for my sis and dad.. and it will be a year of serving and growing in God. I'm looking forward to a brand new year ahead. YEAH! A fresh semester starts tmr! A new season brings along with it new challenges and conquests!! I'm ready.

------------------------------------------------------------------

God, grant me
The serenity to accept the things i cannot change
The courage to change the things i can
And wisdom to know the difference.

Mad rush

It was quite a mad rush for me yesterday. I was getting ready to go for betty's 21st bdae party at 6.15pm when an sms came reminding me of the meeting cum training for Creative Min at Trinity PL at 7.30pm. Apparently the meeting was off for the instrumental side but not so for singers. It was a lesson learnt in commitment when I had to make a choice between attending my good fren's bdae party and going for an a CM meeting. Stating down your commitment on paper is easy.. not so when it gets down to fultilling it! And as if having to make that choice is not bad enough, i didn't have the faintest idea of how to get myself to Oneplace! As time ticks by and i searched my room frantically for the past weekend's bulletin which contains the dirctions(to no avail).. that leaves me with the fastest method of calling the CM person to ask for directions. Hai. So much for making good first impressions. But i figured that being punctual for the first meeting is better than appearing dumb. So there u go.

Upon arriving at Oneplace, one look at the gigantic structure only served to amaze me with the abundant provision of God, leaving me with no clue as to how to get into the massive building still in the completion phase. With the help of a helpful Indian worker who kindly gave me the wrong direction(it could be that i misunderstood him with his heavily ah-neh accented english), I went up 4 storeys(our meeting place, the chapel is at the 4th floor), went through wooden doors that thankfully did not shut permanently behind me, and walk about in circles like a blind mouse in a maze b4 meeting again another construction worker who gave me the correct directions this time.

So finally i arrived at the chapel and got to meet my fellow singers for the first time. Scanning the faces hopefully, I can't believe that I din know anyone there! To make things worse, i can say with confidence that I am one of the youngest there. Most of the people there are adults, some are married(met 4 couples)and one was even from the tai-tai cell(who ever heard of that!). Everyone seem to know everyone there. i have to admit i felt kinda left out. Sulih and yixin.. where are u... *sob*

It's things like this that makes me question whether i had made a wrong decision to serve in creative min. Maybe i should have been contented to stick to hosting. Yet, God has opened the doors for me to step in. Knowing this is where God wants me to be reminds me of why i want to go into CM in the first place. To serve God, and to express the my love for God through worship. Even though things may not be as i expect or want it to be, I know i have a great deal to learn, and fixing my eyes on God will surely serve me well. For the joy of the Lord is my strength. Neh 8:10

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the meeting ended i had to rushed to betty's place to wish her happy bdae. Thankfully betty wasn't mad at me for arriving so late.. haha. I felt quite bad that i couldn't attend the whole of her party, esp since it is her 21st.

To my dear betty: Glad to see u so happy on ur 21st. Hope everything works well for you in the coming year. Congrats on entering adulthood! haha.. stay sweet and true and never lose ur youthfulness!

To the rest of the RG squashers, cya on our next gathering when ness and bx returns! (:

Lets see if she can keep her word.. haa.. hai.. will miss you badly girl. 6 months is a long time. You won't be here for my 21st bdae... but thanx for the very advanced 21st bdae present! Love it (:

ADM tour at night

ADM is so beautiful at night after the rain.. i wish i could have taken a photo of it. The glasses are all shining with a wet sheen and under the moonlight, the whole school looks like a reflection in an oasis.

So after dinner leslie and i got a private tour of ADM, courtesy of rongs. So into the school we went, where we visited the dark room with the cool rotating entrance, the light room, the animation room, the huge audi, the film room, and lots of other rooms which i can't really remember the names. Oh we went to see rong's sleeping quarters duing sem time. Pretty neat. It's a huge room with sparse furnishing besides a white board(with funny drawings done by stressed out AMD students) and about a dozen computers in the room. According to rongs she and her classmates share computers and have developed shift schedules to each computer. And thus, they use the comps 24 hours day and night for their projects! ADM students really have more work then other NTU students.. they dun have a choice of not doing and passing up their tutorials. Dun even talk abt poning!

Rongs was such a good guide.. she made our tour of ADM absolutely delightful. It was not just going from room to rooms and seeing wad was in it.. it was hearing her recounting the stories of what her classmates did in those rooms that made the school come to life. I came away having a different impression and a newfound respect for ADM students. I've always thought ADM pple are a bit on the extreme and crazy side.. but hey they actually make cool posters and make art pieces that not everybody has the ability create. Plus, they have a whole different school life where everyone works hard together and and play together and eat and sleep together. The rooms still had the leftover evidence of their lifestyle. While looking at the whiteboard drawings, I can see how admist heaviness of their workload, the stress is channeled into creative energy that results in drawings and expressions that one won't get else where. Yeap, ADM students are a totally different breed of people. Haha.

Random thots

Random thot 1: Have you ever had the feeling of indignance when someone judge you based on someone else's opinion, without even knowing you? Now i know how dea feels when she blogged abt that last time..

Random thot 2: Have you ever seen a person's appearance and made a judgement on how he/she is like even b4 saying anything? Well.. if that applies then one can't judge God cos no one can see His face..

360degrees turn

Dec hols is here! (ok i know this is a bit late.. ahaa) I haven't been doing anything much besides reading books, evolving into a crouch potato, going out having fun...etc. Besically enjoying myself and wasting my time away not doing useful stuff. =P Been wanting to blog for sometime now.. but my sister monopolizes the internet connection at home(since she's paying for it) and since i've yet to get a router, I hardly get to come online.

But yes, what a great time of slacking b4 the hustle-and-bustle of school starts again! The freedom to choose what one wants to do is shiok! Ha ha. Nevertheless, relaxation and rejeuvenation aside, what is so great about holidays is also the time to reflect and re-orient myself b4 school starts and work steals away the time to do everything else.

I must say I've finally come to some satistfactory decision on an issue that I've been unable to settled on for a long time. Now that I've decided on my stand, i feel really liberated. In life, each decision involves a trade-off. In some you go all the way, and in some you compromise. And as nic always tells me, each man to his own conscience. As long as my conscience is clear before God.. that's good enough for me.

Any one seen Josh Groban's album Awakening on tv? Josh Groban's stong vocals resonating the lyrics of his main song 'You Are Loved' immediately captured my attention.. it's quite beautifully composed i must say. Simple words, yet it encompasses a deep, bountiful meaning.

Leaving you with some thoughts to ponder on.. so many of us go through our christian walk comparing ourselves with non-christians. Questions like: How is it like to live a life that is void of the restrictions? How does it feel to live each day just to please ourselves? When others label us as goody-two-shoes or 'oh-so-holy' is worth the price to pay? Does God see what I am going through for Him? what if what if what if...

But what if God sees...the things you are going through.. the words of retort that you bite back in the face of unfair comments.. the yearnings to be like your other friends and just to go with the flow.. or the thoughts that say i will choose not to do this because i choose to honour my God.

What if.. God sees the the silent tears you shed in your heart at times when you think no one understands.. What if.. God sees the heart that shouts out no matter the opposition, it want to live out a life that's worthy of a child of God? What if.. God sees the progress you make to spiritual maturity and is mightily pleased?

What if.. we know with a certainty that God knows and he understands and he loves us with an everlasting love? When that mindset is embedded deep in our consciousness, that when when we realise that everything we do.. every sacrifice we make.. it will all be worth it.

Josh Groban - You Are Loved

Don’t give up
It’s just the weight of the world
When your heart’s heavy, I
I will lift it for you
Don’t give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you, I
I will break it for you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don’t give up
Because you are loved

Don’t give up
It’s just the hurt
That you hide
When you’re lost inside, I
I’ll be there to find you

Don’t give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you I
I will shine to guide you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don’t give up
Because you are loved

You are loved

My fav verse from the bible: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perserverence the race marked out for us. [Hebrews 12:1]

When God speaks

Cell last fri at clemmie's place was indeed an edifying time. 2 powerful testimony's were shared.. rong's one was particularly relevant, albeit more in depth than the usual sharing. I'm really happy to see that sharing has now gone beneath the surface talk to a deeper level.. it makes cell(and God) a lot more real. It shows how God is present througout our struggles, and brings His word into application. And amidst the testimonies, God is exalted.

After cell ended some of us stayed back to fellowship.. I learnt two short piano pieces from Jon and clemmie. haha. its amazing how i derive such fun from playing with black and white keys. =P

Worship was significantly longer than usual during service this weekend. It was a lovely time of soaking in God's presence.. however, as greeter I had to keep an eye on people that were coming in so as to pass them the bulletines. Thus, my mind wasn't focused totally on God. Nevertheless,God spoke to me, even whilst i'm serving. I was surprised, cos this rarely happens. You know, people always ask, how do you hear God?? but the thing is, when God speaks, you can't help but hear. God's voice is a really like a gong, it resounds in the spirit. After which, a deep sense of conviction follws. My 2nd surprise came at the words God said to me. He said: 'Let not praise to Me be empty words'. Since I was not doing wad God said, I know he was refering to people in the service. God is not pleased with people who pay him lip service. He wants people to mean what they say, to praise and worship Him from their hearts.

And lo and behold, after a while, Pastor Peter went up and said the same thing. He said, to exalt Jesus, it must first start from the heart. Worship must be from the heart. 3rd surprise. It was exactly what God spoke to me a few moments ago.

It was refreshing to see how God operates with the same spirit. It is even more interesting to feel what the spirit feels.. I actually felt God's displeasure this time. God is a truthful God. He does not want fake worshippers, but people who worship in spirt and in truth.

An eventful saturday and a touching video

Yesterday was quite an eventful day. I reported to The Oriental at 8am in the morning for the Amazing Race organized by the IMF committee. The Amazing Race had the purpose of familarizing us with the locations of prominent landmarks in S'pore. We visited Chinatown, where we had the pleasant experience of going through a chinese tea ritual and tasting freshly-brewed oolong tea. One practice by the chinese was to roll the tea cup, warmed by the hot tea, in their hands as they believe that the palms leads to the heart. And there is actually such a thing as black tea! which is fermented tea, and the guy said that it is the most acidic among all the different types of tea.

We also visited a shop that sells hand-crafted chopsticks at Temple Street. The shop lady informed us that in the past, The Chinese viewed food as God, and thus a pair of chopsticks presented as a gift is fit for a happy occasion like a wedding.
Aside from Chinatown, other places we went to included the Supreme Court and the Monument to commemorate the war victims.

The amazing race ended at 4plus.. follwing which we went to our respective designated hotels for ground orientation. Me and my groupmates were allocated to Orchard Hotel. The hotel tour was a pleasure to the senses. We got the chance to see the different suites, including the Presidential Suite which cost a whooping 6000 bucks a night, and which includes a flat-panelled tv and jacuzzi in the bathroom.. down to the red, green and blue suites which cost about 450 bucks a night. Our group leader was a army guy who commented that his monthly salary was not even enuff to afford him a one night stay in the common suites..the way he said it made all of us laugh..haha. It seems like in army u do not hav to volunteer for anything.. u are just grabbed in to fill the job. We found out that for working from 10pm to 10am(i did not mistaken the hours), he is only being paid a miserable 15 dollars a day. Poor guy...

The ground orientation was helpful and definitely not to be missed bacause it provided us with the useful and practical info concerning the hotel operations. We we told where the smoking and non-smoking areas are, what customers have to do in order to use the wireless internet, where the Malays can go to for halal food, where the taxi stand is, etc etc.

Finally when the whole tour finished, it was 6pm plus. I was exhausted by the activities of the day, and it didn't help that i did not bring an extra change of clothes because according to the schedule, the whole thing should end by 3.30pm. It was partially a lack of insight by my part, i should have forseen that it will end late. The thought of not going to church did cross my mind..but it is the attitude of honouring God that counts isn't it? Even though looked like i just came from hall or from the fish market, as some pple commented. I was dressed in t-shirt and shorts, with slippers. Ok so I wasn't exactly presentable, but neither was I outrageously under-dressed. The attire was just a bit sloppy. Not that i intended for it anyway. But as usual, attitudes(nevermind that i had the correct one)can easily be overlooked by what pple see. It is the feeling of being misunderstood that sux.

What has transpired has transpired. Word can't be taken back. Feelings cannot be discounted. what is important is to learn from it. I asked God why.. he did not give me a reason, but instead showed me 1 Corinthians 13:5. Love keeps no records of wrongs.

To a fren..thanks for cheering me up when i'm down. Thanks also for listening and understanding.

Anyway, i am glad i went to church. During service PAstor Gerald showed us a touching video of how a boy who was paralysed from the head down. He had a difficult childbirth where the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, cutting off his oxygen supply. As a result some of his brain cells died, resulting in paralysis. But other than his physical disablilty, he can still think. Regardless of his condition, his parents loved him and let him live on, even though some pple advised that it would have been better to let him die.

As the boy was growing up, he was able to communicate to pple around him using eye movement to spell out words on a special computer. And through that, his parents got to know that he had a passion for sports. To help realise his son's dream, the father trained up his physical and took him his son for runs.. participated in marathons, and even tri-athalons. To the tunes of "I can only imagine...", the video showed scenes of his dad cycling with his son, running while carrying his son, and carrying his son through to the finishing line. I was touched by the love the dad had for his son, a son who could never give him anything in return. Through the son's eyes, intellect and a strong determination to live life shone through. And even though he could not express it, i think everybody watching the video felt it. Through the human eyes, what i saw was a pitiful boy. As the dad was carrying his son to the end of the race(everyone can see something was wrong with the boy by his appearance. His head was big in proportion to his body and limbs because they were shrunken and not developed), all eyes is on him and the unsual sight he and his abnormal son created. I can only imagine the thoughts in pple's mind. "What is the father doing?" "Isn't he embarrased to bring his son out into the public eye for all to see?" "Is the father out of his mind?" "That boy should be in a resting in a wheelchair, not participating in a race!"

Against what pple may think, the father realised his son's dream bacause of his fatherly love for his son. He wanted to give his son a chance to live life, to feel the joy of running and the wind blowing on his face. The video was an inspiration, and a reminder that we should all be grateful for the life that we have. In the same way the dad fulfilled his son's wishes, God the Father can as well for his children.

So live life to the fullest, and live it for God, because he has paid the ultimate sacrifice for us. And don't be limited by what other pple think, because that way, you will never be able to make a difference in other pple's lives.

I Can Only Imagine

I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your side

I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine

[Chorus:]
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

Simple life

Ever watched the reality series Simple Life? It co-stars Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie in road trips and internships. I remember watching it and laughing at the silly things they did. These 2 girls have all the money in the world. They dun have to care abt how to make a living. All they care abt is how they look.. which dress to wear each day..what make-up to put on.. which guy is hot..what pranks to play on their bosses..etc etc.

Unfortunately, most pple's lives are not so simple. People are born with different lots in life. Different looks.. family background.. personalities.. gifts.. wad u win in some areas u may lose out in others. Then u add in different mindsets and perceptions accumulated from life experiences.. that makes a really unique and complex person. wad makes one person happy may not have the same effect for another.

Recently, I've been thinking about things. Wad do i want in life. Wad can i acheive in life. who do i want to become. And due to a vast exposure of experiences and happenings that had been coming at me.. i've formed the conclusion that life is as simple as you want it to be. You can have great ambition or u can be content with a normal life. You can choose to determine your path or let others determine it. You can care a lot about wad other pple think or remain forcused to what u are committed to do. You can strive to please everyone, or u can be who God made u to be. It all boils down to beliefs, attitudes and boundaries.

I want a simple life.. yet in my heart there's ambition. I am a simple person.. yet some pple may not understand me. I have simple dreams.. yet at times they dun seem simple enough to acheive. Life is packed with contradictions.. wad do u make of it ?

The weeks' happenings

My days been quite busy recently.. it seems that I have something onmy agenda to do everyday. Besides, the holidays is coming to an end soon. I'm happy to be doing the things that I may not have time to do during term time! That is, meeting up with my close friends ;)

Met up with the girls again on the night of our pajamas party. We went to wisma foodcourt for dinner. oh btw, Food Republic on the top level of wisma is one of my fav eating place in orchard. I love the old town set-up that always gives me a nostalgic feel when i enter.. which i dun even know why since i was born years after s'pore was a small fishing village! Thumbs up to the gov.'s effort to preserve our heritage! Haha. Anyway, if you happen to go there, dun forget to try their hokkien mee. It's superb! =D

After dinner we wanted to find a place to chill out and decided to go Holland V. Poor bx took a taxi down from her korean class in the west to join us in town, only to find that we are going back to the west. But the girl didn't really mind.. she good-naturedly agreed. Heh

That's us at Breko. We stayed there and talked until well over midnight. Somehow, our girls outing never seem complete without a healthy dose of gossip and tales of funny things that happened over dessert. *smile

After that we adjourned to Jess's house for our slumber party. The mischievous looking boy in the pic is jess's baby brother, Jonathan. He was still awake when we reached the house so we played with him and he was running and jumping around all the time! oh and we had a good laugh at his chinese pronumciation cos he has a funny way of speaking chinese words. Haha. His English is way better. He was only willingly tucked into bed at 2+am! Gosh.. That small boy is a hyperactive bundle of energy! After that we had our girl talk and then bx entertained and almost scared us silly with her recollection of some Jap ghost movie. She's a fantastic actress la..We decided she'll have a bright future in play-acting or as a ghost story teller. Or maybe she can go join the sound production team haha.. her sound effects gave everyone the shivers!!

Wad a great slumber party.. it's one that i will stay in my memory for a long time. I'm so happy to have you girls. :) I wouldn't trade our friendship for anything!

On one of the days I went back to hall to meet my clan to paint our clan banner. We started slow initially cos our design was not really out yet. I remembered we were quite stressed at one time cos the original design was too simple. But amazing, we brainstormed and added more details along the way and it turned out really beautiful. Much thanks to grace our banner designer!

Close-up of our banner.. doesn't the whole thing have a pirate-sy feel to it? And notice the green snake at the bottom left.. it looks like a tattoo doesn't it!

We are proud of our clan banner. Go AXel!

Looking happy after our hard work!

It's off to fish and co. for lunch at JP. I like fish and co. The sword-fish collar which i shared with anshu was so big it is really more than enuff for 2 pple. And the tangy mango-chilli sauce just tops it up!

This is pam with me in the pic. Met up with her for a while on wed to go shopping. Well, to be more specific, i was just accompanying her to shop. How can i shop with less than $1 in my pocket?! I'm really disastrously broke. :( And she is too.. after buying a dress and a belt.. hahaha. So. Wad do you get when you put 2 penniless girls in town?? We take photos!!

Trying out the abstract look.. though not very abstract..

Making funny faces..

Blowing kisses..

The oyster-prawn noodles i made for my sis on the day she leaves for Croatia. The womens world championships is held there this year. She got 5th! I'm so proud of her. And she's coming home today! :D

okie, i got to get started to pack my stuff to prepare to move in to hall. Wa.. another tedious day, of moving in this time. And cleaning out my room in hall too! Bet it's super dusty..my nose is quite allegic to dust.. hope i dun get runny nose. Camp starts on monday!!

Out with mr ah-beng

I went out with nik today.. He's my friend from hall 8. Also one of the pple who has impacted my life and changed some of the ways i think. He is the first ah-beng i know! hahah.. I still remember my first hall orientation last year july.. He was the first person who took the initative to talked to me. He made some crappy comment which made me remember him (albeit in a not so positive light!)..even though he was trying to draw me into the group cos i only went for FOC on the 3rd day. He was super siao-onz during FOC.. so onz till he fell sick after camp ended. Poor guy..But dun see him play so hard.. this play-boy is also a computer genius and a super good drummer!

Playing the drumming game at the arcade.. it's not easy..

We went suntec for lunch and saw this shop that sells toy figurines along the way. There was this huge xiao-ding-dang outside the shop.. And of course, the act-cute poseur in us couldn't resist taking a few shots! Hey we are still young kae.. haha. But we did get a few looks from passer-bys who saw us taking photos with this cute character..

Xiao ding dang or me cuter.. make ur choice!

xiao ding dang so adorable.. Hugs..

After that we went for lunch at kenny rogers. The side dishes are very worth it there. Only $2.20 per dish. The serving is quite big and 2 dishes are enuff to fill my stomach! I love their marcaroni n cheese and potato salad!

As we ate, we sat there and talked abt life. Dreams and ambition.. Life's lessons.. Nik knows wad he wants.. I still don't..i've only the faintest idea.

After lunch we caught Just My Luck. Thanks for treating me! And watching it with me even though u've already watched it. My fav scene was the bubble scene(Lindsay Lohan accidentally put in too much washing powder while she was distracted)and the washing machine errupted with bubble. She got engulfed in the mess and the guy had to come to save her. Strangely that was funnily romantic and sweet for me..I love romantic comedies.. It makes me happy to see 2 pple in love and the funny things that they go through. I think love comes with laughter.. Life can be rough at times.. but if u have someone who can laugh through it together with u.. then it makes it easier..

The 4-straw star that nik made while we were at macs :) This guy made an entire bottle of stars for his gf once.. sweet huh.

Dun think will see him before foc le.. unless he can make time on one of the sats *hint hint* think u get it la.. haha.. take care!

Girls Night Out!

An afternoon at TCC

Today i got up at 8am.. Was supposed to meet my ex boss (the one in property) for a game of tennis at 10am. Before i left my workplace i was just saying maybe we can go for tennis sometime since we both know how to play.. Plus I thought after sharing Christ with him last time it will be a good opportunity to do a follow-up. Sadly, the end we only managed to warm up before being cooled down again by a shower which readily became a downpour. Since the rain wasn't about to let up anytime soon we gave up and decided to just go for lunch at TCC instead.. oh and what a long lunch it was. I remembered praying to God to give me a converstation opening to share abt who God is.. And somehow when he was asking abt the traits of young pple nowadays i happened to mention depression as one of the traits. It so happens that there was a period in his life where he went through acute depression because he felt there was no meaning in life. And as he opened up(which surprised me) and told me abt it, i found out that he had tried to seek after God in one period of his life.. but somehow, he didn't find what he was looking for. At first when i first knew him i thought it was a strong pride that was preventing him from accepting Christ. But after our chat today i realised it was the long period of questioning and seeking and never getting an answer.. it gradually led to dissapointment and a deep cynicism towards religion. Against this, i felt all i could do is to share my experience with God and try to be as real as possible. It was tough because he had such a strong wall of skeptism built up.. at one time i was so frustrated because everything i said he had a rebuttal. And it wasn't even my intention for it to be a debate.. He was the toughest nut to crack and the hardest person i've ever tried to salt..

Anyway, i'm glad i stuck through it bcos I believe God sent me into his path. So i'm determined to do a good job. Remember I got the property job on the day i went for the interview? I believe God had a plan..

I invited him for service. Surprisingly he said he'll come. I'll be asking him again this sat.. gotta go for the adult one cos he'll be too over-aged for YAS. Then it's really up to God to work. I've done all i can.. Words are nothing without a true encounter..

Fun first photoshoot!

Hey pple! I'm finally well and feeling back to normal! Thank you so much for all your prayers :) I must say it feels great not to be sick.. I had caught a flu bug last sat and was down with fever. After seeing the doc and taking the medicine, I thought I recovered after 3 days of rest. So it's back to work on wed(btw i quitted. It went smoothly and i even got to talk to the boss abt Christ! Praise God!) and out with spenz for his goodbye lunch(he's going to backpack around europe for 1 month! lucky guy..)on thurs. Then I received yixin and raymond's sms saying there's gonna be a cell outing on fri and i was like yay! It's gonna be fun! I'm so looking forward to it and lo and behold, I managed to come down with fever again on the next day. It was quite scary cos my chest area felt so constricted and i couldn't really breathe normal deep breathes. Then all the way to the doc i felt like fainting..and puking.. beacuse of the fever i guess..luckily the doc's clinic was at the mrt station so it's just a 5 min walk across. I gotta thank my sis for being with me.. I was quite sure i'm gonna faint halfway.. I was so weak! Anyway i got to the doc's clinic and then had to wait for like 5 pple before it's my turn. The doc was quite efficient. After hearing all my symptoms and listening to my heartbeat he promptly diagnosed it as a mild case of bronchitis and prescibed antibiotics for me. So there.. here's another 4 types of medicine to add to the 4 that was prescribed last week.. a total of 8. I dun think I've been this sick in such a short span of time before.. well the pills and prayers worked like miracle and I was well by today. Well enuff to call evogue and say i'll be able to make it for my photoshoot!

The shoot today got off to a rocky start when the pple there couldn't find suitable tops and bottoms for me.. We had to mix and match from the clothes i brought there to produce 4 looks; sporty, smartcasual, evening wear and executive. Not an easy task huh.. despite me bringing a whole lot of clothes there. Well finally we managed to get together the outfits and i'm off to having my face made up and my hair done. I must say the make-up artist, Janice, is really good. She's from Female. I was really satisfied with both looks she gave me.. and she was the one who styled my hair too. Afetr that is on to kelvin the photographer to direct the shoot. Oh i found out that he's from ntu too.. he studied CEE and went to work 1 year before deciding to follow his interest and become a professional photographer. He works for some renowned magazine in s'pore too.. Shape i think..yeap.. anyway he makes me feel comfortable posing for the shoot, which was impt because we took abt 3 hours in total and every shot has to appear natural. In the meantime the photos are still with them waiting to be developed.. and with touch ups it'll take at least 1-2 mths before i can get my portfolio. As for me.. I'm satisfied and relieved at how the photoshoot turned out. A lot of things could have gone wrong but didn't. I'm happy at the final result. One of my fav pose in the shoot was of me holding a make-up compact in one hand and a brush in another and looking to be dollying myself up. Really cool..haha.. and cute.. i hope christine choses that one so that i can show you guys! As now.. it's really a pity to take of the pretty make-up and hair-do without some photos as rememberence of my fun first photoshoot.. so here goes!

A penny for your thoughts..

Blowing ya a kiss..
